Counterlink Print Technology Limited ("Counterlink", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data processed through this website. We are registered in England & Wales (Company No. 03510637) with our registered office at 1 Newton Avenue, Wakefield, WF1 2PX, United Kingdom. What personal data we collect
This website contains no contact forms and no user accounts. The personal data we receive through the site is limited to:
- Information you send us by email or phone
- Your name and contact details in enquiries
- Business details relevant to a quote
- Standard server logs from our hosting provider
When you click an email or phone link on this site, the message or call is made through your own email application or phone — we only receive what you choose to send.
How we use personal data
We use the information you send us to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange engineer visits, deliver contracted services and maintain our business records. Our legal bases under UK GDPR are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract; performance of a contract; and our legitimate interests in running and promoting our business.
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who support our operations — such as email and IT providers, and our website hosting provider — under appropriate safeguards, or where required by law. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK except where our providers do so under recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records relating to contracts and invoicing are kept for the periods required by UK tax and company law, typically six years.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email sales@counterlink.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Analytics and advertising measurement
We use Fathom Analytics for aggregate visitor statistics. Fathom is a privacy-first, cookieless service that does not collect personal data and does not track you across websites.
On our advertising landing pages only, we use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether our adverts lead to enquiries. This runs with Google Consent Mode: advertising cookies are set only if you accept them via the consent banner shown on those pages. If you decline, no advertising cookies are set.
